Mock Drill of Cyclone Preparedness Programme held in Kalapara
Patuakhali: Considering Upcoming Cyclone Mocha, Good Neighbors DRR Project arranged Mock Drill of Cyclone Preparedness on 10th May in Dalbuganj High School Field of Kalapara upazila under Patuakhali district. All the steps to taken disaster preparedness, during disaste time and post disaster are displayed through the Mock Drill Program. Community people under Dalbuganj union participated in the program. Conducive materials also distributed like life jacket, gumboot, meghaphone, whistle and radio for the 11 village disaster management committee.
Each committee consisted with 9 members. Every committee received 9 life jacktet, 9 pair gumboot, 9 whistle, 2 meghaphone and 1 radio. Every materials will assiste a lot to disseminate the early warning message in the communitee. All VDMC memers are agree to work hard to deal with upcoming cyclone Mocha and will safe live, weath and cattle for the individual community.
Former Dalbugonj Union parishad chairnam Principle Md. Delwar Hossain chaired the program. 4 Japanese staffs participated in the program as guests of honor and they also delivered valuable speech on Mock Drill. - Gofran Biswas Palash
