Cyclone warning field exercise held in Kalapara.



Patuakhali: A cyclone warning field exercise was held in Kalapara of Patuakhali. The exercise was organized by the private international development organization Good Neighbours Project at Mohipur Cooperative Secondary School ground in Mohipur Union of the upazila on Saturday afternoon.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Md. Jahangir Hossain, Upazila Chairman SM Rakibul Ahsan was present in the program as chief guest.

Good Neighbours Project manager James Rajib Biswas, project Coordinator Deepak Kumar Das, CPP Assistant Director Asaduzzaman Khan, CPP Upazila Team Leader Md Motaleb Fakir, Mahipur Thana Jubo League Convener Mizanur Rahman Bullet were present as special guests.

This exercise is organized to increase the awareness of the people about the disaster in the disaster prone areas and to reduce the loss of life and property along with personal, family and social preparation before, during and after the disaster. - UNB
