CanCham president Masudur Rahman passes away

Masudur Rahman, President of Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CanCham Bangladesh) passed away on Wednesday.


"It is with profound sorrow that we inform the passing away of Masudur Rahman," CanCham said in a statement.

He was the founder President of CanCham Bangladesh, established in 2005, and was re-elected in the same position several times.

Masudur Rahman has played a great role in strengthening and expanding Canada – Bangladesh bilateral trade and economic relations, said the CanCham.

He was also the Managing Director of Crane Ltd. and Chairman of Asia Securities Ltd, reports UNB.

"The void so created in CanCham Bangladesh will never be filled. We pray for the salvation of the departed soul and pray to Allah to give strength to the members of his family to bear the irreparable loss," said CanCham Bangladesh in its statement.
