Chandpur, July 3 --A man and his son died from electrocution while working on a cropland in Shahmahmudpur area of Chandpur Sadar Upazila.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on land adjacent to the railway line in Kaddipanchgaon village.

The deceased are Abdur Rob Tapdar, 60, a retired officer of the Chandpur Water Development Board, and his younger son Sayem Tapdar, 23, a student of Shahtoli Kamil Madrasa.

Md. Bahar Mia, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chandpur Sadar Model Police Station, said police reached the scene after receiving information and found initial signs indicating electrocution as the cause of death.
