Govt in Talks with Foreign Agencies to Set Up Skill Centres
Chief Adviser's Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, announced that the interim government is actively engaged in discussions with foreign agencies to establish skill development centres in Bangladesh.
In a press conference held in Dubai on February 13, Alam highlighted that the government is carefully assessing the logistical support required by these foreign organisations to ensure the success of the initiative.
Responding to questions, Alam acknowledged the challenges faced by Bangladeshi expatriates in the UAE, noting that while these issues cannot be resolved overnight, the government is committed to addressing them with genuine effort.
Alam further emphasized that developing skilled manpower and facilitating their employment abroad remains a top priority for the government. He also mentioned that during the chief adviser's Dubai visit, he participated in a community engagement programme, where he interacted with Bangladeshi expatriates, listening to their concerns.
The press secretary shared that discussions during the visit focused on issues related to visas, labor conditions, and the various challenges faced by expatriates in the UAE.
Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, was also present at the press conference.
