Nepal envoy highlights evolving ties with Bangladesh

Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari today highlighted the evolving and friendly relations between Nepal and Bangladesh, describing the bilateral partnership as an exemplary model of neighbourly friendship founded on mutual trust, goodwill and cooperation.


The ambassador made the remarks while delivering a lecture titled "Contemporary Nepal: Its Foreign Policy, Security and Development Dimensions, and Nepal-Bangladesh Relations" to participants of the National Defence College (NDC)-2026 course at the National Defence College in Dhaka.

In his presentation, Ambassador Bhandari outlined the evolution of Nepal's foreign policy, its diplomatic engagements and national security policy.

He also highlighted Nepal's development priorities and ongoing initiatives aimed at accelerating socio-economic transformation and achieving sustainable development.

Referring to Nepal-Bangladesh relations, the envoy said the bilateral partnership has continued to deepen through mutual understanding, trust and cooperation across various sectors.

The lecture was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, during which Ambassador Bhandari responded to a wide range of queries from the course participants, reports BSS.
