Lithuania urged to recruit skilled manpower from Bangladesh

Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir has urged Lithuania to recruit more skilled and trained manpower from Bangladesh to help meet its workforce needs.


He made the call during a courtesy meeting with Lithuanian Non-Resident Ambassador to Bangladesh Diana Mickeviciene at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon on Monday morning.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest including bilateral relations, expansion of trade and investment, cooperation in education and information technology.

He also requested Lithuania to establish a visa centre in Dhaka to facilitate the visa process for Bangladeshi citizens.

The adviser lauded the continued communication and cooperation between Bangladesh and Lithuania and stressed the need to further strengthen bilateral ties.

The Lithuanian Ambassador also expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the education sector.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, reports UNB.
