PM Tarique meets Haiti counterpart, discusses bilateral ties

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman had a meeting with Haitian Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.

The meeting was held at the UN Headquarters in New York, where the two leaders discussed Bangladesh-Haiti bilateral relations, issues of mutual interest and areas of regional and international cooperation.

They also exchanged views on ways to further strengthen cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries and explore opportunities to expand bilateral ties in various fields.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is in New York to attend the 81st UN General Assembly and is holding a series of bilateral meetings with heads of government and senior representatives of international organisations on the sidelines of the high-level gathering.
