COP28: Haas meets Saber with eye on Dubai
Dhaka, Nov 07 - US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas had a meeting with Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for Climate Change Saber Hossain Chowdhury on Monday and discussed issues related to climate change.
"They discussed climate change and the possibilities for U.S.-Bangladesh cooperation," a U.S. Embassy Spokesperson told UNB when approached.
Bangladesh and the US enjoy a vibrant and broad based relationship.
Both sides keep discussing ways to enrich and deepen this partnership with a focus on climate change challenges, said a diplomatic source.
The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly referred to as COP28, will be the 28th United Nations Climate Change conference, to be held from 30 November until 12 December 2023, at the Expo City, Dubai.
