Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated on Friday that India will engage with the government of Bangladesh in power at any given time.

"It is natural for us to work with the government of the day," Jaishankar remarked, acknowledging the potential disruptions that political changes can bring.

He emphasized the importance of mutual interests in navigating these changes. Jaishankar's comments were made during the release of Rajiv Sikri's book, Strategic Conundrums: Reshaping India’s Foreign Policy. He also noted that the relationship between India and Bangladesh has experienced fluctuations since the latter's independence.
