Australian High Commissioner Meets Adviser Nahid

Acting Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Nardia Simpson, met with Adviser for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, Nahid Islam, at his office in Dhaka today.

During the meeting, the Australian envoy engaged in discussions on various matters of mutual interest between the two nations, according to an official press release.

Deputy Head of Mission, Clinton Pobke, highlighted two key projects—AI-Based Solutions and the Cable Connectivity and Resilience Center—expressing Australia's intent to collaborate with Bangladesh on these initiatives.

Adviser Nahid Islam, who also serves as the Adviser for Information and Broadcasting, welcomed the proposal and expressed Bangladesh’s readiness to work together on these projects to enhance bilateral cooperation in technology and infrastructure development.

In a separate meeting, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke, also called on Nahid Islam at his office, further emphasizing the strengthening of international partnerships.
