John Kirby, spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, revealed to reporters on Wednesday that the conversation underscored mutual apprehensions about recent developments in Bangladesh. Both leaders emphasized the importance of safeguarding the country’s democratic institutions and ensuring the protection of all its citizens.

On social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi elaborated on their discussion, stating, “We addressed the current situation in Bangladesh, emphasizing the urgent need to restore normalcy and secure the safety of all communities, with a particular focus on minorities, including Hindus.”
