Saudi Envoy Urges Stronger Trade Ties with Bangladesh

Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Bangladesh, Essa Yousef Essa Al Duhailan, has stressed the importance of expanding bilateral trade and economic collaboration between the two nations.


The envoy made these remarks during a meeting with Mohammad Ali Deen, President of the Commonwealth of Independent States-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CIS-BCCI), at the Saudi embassy in Dhaka on Monday, according to a press release.

The discussions centered on mutual interests and exploring ways to strengthen trade and economic ties, particularly in the private sector. Ambassador Al Duhailan expressed optimism about fostering deeper cooperation to unlock new opportunities for both countries.

Mohammad Ali Deen highlighted the CIS-BCCI's pivotal role in promoting trade relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. He underscored the potential of expanding collaboration in areas such as culture, sports, and tourism to build a sustainable and long-term economic partnership.

Directors of CIS-BCCI, including Md Hasen Ali, Md Farukul Islam Shova, Khan Md. Iqbal, and Md Razib Pervez, were also present during the meeting.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment to strengthening economic ties and exploring untapped areas of mutual benefit.
