Pakistan High Commissioner calls on BGMEA Administrator

Syed Ahmed Maroof, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Anwar Hossain, Administrator of BGMEA, at the BGMEA office in the city on Thursday.


The meeting was also attended by Rezwan Selim, Member of BGMEA Support Committee, said a press release here today.
 
During the meeting, they discussed a range of issues aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh, particularly in the garment and textile sectors.
 
Administrator Anwar Hossain emphasized the potential for exploring areas of cooperation between the two countries, highlighting Pakistan's strong presence in textile production and Bangladesh's leading position in garment manufacturing, reports BSS.

He underscored BGMEA's ongoing efforts to improve sustainability standards and advance innovation within Bangladesh's textile industry.

Ambassador Maroof conveyed Pakistan's commitment to fostering greater economic collaboration and supporting the growth of the garment industry in both countries.
