According to a foreign ministry press release, the adviser made the appeal during a courtesy meeting with the Georgian Ambassador to Bangladesh, based in New Delhi, at his office.
The two officials discussed the importance of strengthening Bangladesh-Georgia relations, which are built on shared values, principles, and mutual understanding. They expressed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Hossain emphasized the need to boost trade, investment, and economic ties between the two nations.
The ambassador expressed interest in deepening cultural ties, particularly in the fields of film and media, and sought Bangladesh’s support for Georgia’s initiatives in the United Nations and other international forums.
Both parties agreed to hold the next Bilateral Consultation in the near future, the press release added.
