Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has urged the Qatari government to recruit skilled professionals from Bangladesh, including doctors, engineers, IT specialists, and nurses.

He extended an invitation for representatives from Qatar’s relevant authorities to visit Bangladesh and meet with potential candidates for recruitment.

Hossain made this appeal during a meeting with Qatari State Minister for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi on the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) in Muscat, according to a Bangladesh foreign ministry press release.

In the discussion, Hossain also expressed gratitude to Qatar for hosting a large number of Bangladeshi expatriates. He welcomed Qatari investments and emphasized the need for private sector visits to Bangladesh to explore potential investment opportunities.

In addition to the bilateral talks, Hossain participated in the final day of the Indian Ocean Conference in Muscat, which focused on the theme, "Voyage of New Horizons of Maritime Partnership."

Hossain is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on Tuesday.
