The request was made during a meeting with the newly appointed Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh, Nina Padilla Cainglet, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The discussions covered a range of topics, including enhancing bilateral trade and investment, direct air connectivity, renewable energy collaboration, educational exchanges, nursing education, agriculture, and pending bilateral agreements between the two nations.
Ambassador Cainglet shared that the Philippines is preparing to convene the 3rd Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) soon to address existing issues and explore new areas for cooperation.
Expressing a strong interest in working on matters of mutual concern, Ambassador Cainglet committed to fostering closer ties between the two countries.
The Foreign Adviser assured her of Bangladesh’s full support and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure in Bangladesh. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Bangladesh-Philippines relations.
