Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain left for Saudi Arabia on Thursday to attend a special session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.

The extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, scheduled for Friday, will focus on the ceasefire progress in Gaza and concerns over the proposed annexation, which could lead to the forced resettlement of Palestinians, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Adviser Hossain is expected to return to Dhaka on March 8.
