Labour and Employment Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain has paid a courtesy call on Pakistan's Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain in Geneva, Switzerland.

The adviser is currently visiting Geneva to attend the 353rd session of the Governing Body of the International Labour Organization (ILO), said an official release received this noon.

"Matters of mutual interest, tourism potential, expansion of trade, training and skill exchange, enhancing connectivity via waterways and air routes, and cooperation in culture and sports were discussed between the two sides," said the release.

During the meeting, both sides agreed that bilateral agreements can be signed on all these issues, the release added.

The adviser invited the Pakistani delegation to visit Bangladesh at the earliest for this purpose, reports BSS.

AHM Shafiquzzaman, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and a representative from the Bangladesh Mission in Geneva were present at the meeting.
