Russia Vows Support for Bangladesh’s Food, Energy Security

Russian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Alexander Khozin, reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh's development, particularly in ensuring food and energy security, while collaborating on key global issues. He emphasized the mutual respect, understanding, and shared goals that form the foundation of Bangladesh-Russia relations, which date back to the early 1970s.

In his message, Ambassador Khozin congratulated Bangladesh on its Independence Day, praising the nation's resilience and patriotism throughout its history. He noted the significant political, economic, and social changes Bangladesh has undergone over the past five decades.

Ambassador Khozin also highlighted Bangladesh's role as a leader in the Global South, particularly in areas such as poverty reduction, climate change, education, women's empowerment, and regional connectivity. He expressed pride in the country's contributions to fostering respectful dialogue on the global stage.
