Chen Huaiyu, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China, met with Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, today in Hainan, China. The meeting took place at the Bo'ao State Guest House on the sidelines of the Bo'ao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025.

During their discussions, the two leaders explored opportunities for strengthening economic ties between Bangladesh and China, particularly in the areas of investment and trade. The Chief Adviser and the bank chairman also examined the potential for collaboration in financing large-scale infrastructure projects and supporting the development of key sectors in Bangladesh.

This meeting highlights the growing economic cooperation between the two nations, with a focus on fostering sustainable development and financial support for Bangladesh’s expanding economy. The Export-Import Bank of China, a major player in facilitating Chinese investments overseas, plays a crucial role in funding projects that contribute to Bangladesh’s infrastructure and industrial growth.

The Bo'ao Forum for Asia, a key platform for discussing regional cooperation, provided the perfect setting for such high-level discussions. As Bangladesh continues to expand its global partnerships, this meeting reflects the country’s growing role in the Asian and international economic landscape.

The meeting between Chen Huaiyu and Professor Yunus is expected to pave the way for further collaboration between China and Bangladesh, boosting bilateral relations and helping Bangladesh achieve its development goals.
