CA Yunus Holds High-Level Talks with Chinese President

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus engaged in a productive bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing this morning. The talks took place at the prestigious Great Hall of the People, where the two leaders focused on fostering stronger bilateral relations and discussed key issues of mutual interest.


During the meeting, Professor Yunus highlighted opportunities for increased collaboration and economic cooperation between the two nations. The discussion emphasized areas where both countries could benefit from deeper ties, including trade, infrastructure, and investment.

Later today, Prof. Yunus is set to attend an "Investment Dialogue" at The Presidential Beijing at 11:45 am. This event aims to inform Chinese investors about the business-friendly environment in Bangladesh and highlight the country's growing potential for foreign investment.

In addition to the dialogue, the Chief Adviser will participate in three roundtable discussions: "Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy Investment," "Bangladesh 2.0: Manufacturing and Market Opportunities," and "Social Business, Youth Entrepreneurship, and the World of Three Zeros." These discussions will bring together CEOs, influential figures from the social business community, and executives from renowned Chinese companies to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities.

Professor Yunus' visit is part of a four-day official trip to China, which aims to strengthen bilateral ties and attract Chinese investment to Bangladesh. This evening, he will attend a dinner hosted by Bangladesh’s Ambassador to China.

The Chief Adviser is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain, Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Road Transport and Bridges Adviser, Railways Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Senior SDGs Coordinator Khalilur Rahman, Principal Coordinator Lamiya Morshed, and Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.

This visit is seen as a pivotal moment in strengthening Bangladesh-China relations, focusing on economic growth and collaboration for the future.
