Modi Greets Prof. Yunus and Bangladesh on Eid-ul-Fitr

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and the people of Bangladesh, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, the largest religious festival for Muslims.

In his message to Professor Yunus, Modi expressed, "As the blessed month of Ramadan draws to a close, I extend my warmest greetings and felicitations to you and the people of Bangladesh on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr." The message was received today.

The Prime Minister noted that during the holy month, 200 million Muslims in India joined their fellow believers around the world in observing fasting and engaging in prayer. He emphasized that Eid-ul-Fitr is a time of celebration, reflection, gratitude, and unity, reminding people of the values of compassion, generosity, and solidarity that bring nations and communities together.

"On this auspicious occasion, I pray for peace, harmony, good health, and happiness for people around the world," Modi stated. He also expressed a desire for the bonds of friendship between India and Bangladesh to continue to strengthen, reinforcing the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.

"May the ties between our countries grow ever stronger," he added.
