China Ready to Play 'Constructive Role' in Ending Ukraine War

China is prepared to play a "constructive role" in resolving the war in Ukraine while supporting Russia in defending its "interests," Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Russian state news agency RIA Novosti in an interview published on Tuesday.
"China is ready to take into account the aspirations of all parties involved and work with the international community towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict," Wang stated ahead of a scheduled meeting with his Russian counterpart in Moscow.
