Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by the Qatari armed forces in Doha today.

A well-formed contingent from the Qatari military presented the honour ahead of his meeting with Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, on the sidelines of the Earthna Summit.

During the meeting, the Chief Adviser expressed hope that both nations would benefit from enhanced cooperation between their armed forces. He assured that Bangladesh Armed Forces would bring their extensive experience from UN peacekeeping operations to support the Qatari military’s capacity building.
