Bangladesh and Algeria have discussed ways to expand relations in economic areas, given the complementary strengths both countries bring, particularly in energy, industry and pharmaceuticals.

Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf met Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain in Istanbul recently and discussed the issues of mutual interests.

The bilateral meeting was held following his participation in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The meeting provided an opportunity to examine prospects for expanding Algeria-Bangladesh relations in economic areas, given the complementary strengths both countries bring, particularly in energy, industry and pharmaceuticals, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, reports UNB.
