Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka today.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today encouraged Bhutan to fully utilise the infrastructural facilities offered by Bangladesh, highlighting significant opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation.
He conveyed this message during a meeting with Bhutan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee, at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka.
Ambassador Dorjee extended the best wishes of Bhutan’s Prime Minister to the Chief Adviser and praised the longstanding historical ties and excellent relations between the two countries.
She expressed gratitude for Bangladesh’s ongoing support, particularly in medical education and the development of a Bhutanese Special Economic Zone in Bangladesh, and reaffirmed Bhutan’s commitment to deepen engagement.
The Chief Adviser emphasised the importance of strong people-to-people connections and urged youth from both nations to visit each other to experience their cultures and strengthen mutual bonds.
He also reiterated Bangladesh’s commitment to upholding the spirit of SAARC.
Welcoming the Ambassador, the Chief Adviser assured her of full support and expressed optimism that bilateral ties would strengthen further during her tenure.
