The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has officially written to the Bangladesh government, seeking information on any critical medical assistance required for the victims of the Uttara plane crash that could be arranged in India.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the High Commission said it is ready to provide all necessary support and facilitation to assist the injured.

This offer follows Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of condolence, in which he expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and offered India’s full support.

“India stands in solidarity with Bangladesh and is ready to extend all possible assistance,” Modi said in his message on Monday.

He added, “Deeply shocked and saddened at the loss of lives, many of them young students, in a tragic air crash in Dhaka. Our hearts go out to the bereaved families. We pray for the swift recovery of those injured.”
