A delegation led by Palestinian Chief Justice Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbas today met Home and Agriculture Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury at his office in the ministry at the Secretariat.

During the meeting, they discussed diplomatic relations between the two countries and the production and export of agricultural products, according to a press release here.

Welcoming the delegation, Jahangir said Bangladesh and Palestine are true friends. “The people of Bangladesh have always stood by the people of Palestine. We are ready to work with Palestine on any issue,” he added.

The Palestinian Chief Justice briefed on his country's agricultural production and export-oriented products, saying that his country is interested in producing export-oriented and more productive crops in Bangladesh.

“If we get cultivable land in Bangladesh, we will be able to produce various high-yielding crops for export, which will provide employment to agricultural workers in this country, and our country will also benefit,” he said.
The Agriculture Adviser welcomed the proposal of the Chief Justice of Palestine.

He assured the delegation that detailed discussions would be held with the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Agriculture on this issue.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman and senior officials of the Ministries of Agriculture and Home Affairs were present at the meeting, reports UNB.
