Tarique calls on German, Australian envoys

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Friday held separate meetings with Germany’s Ambassador Rudiger Lotz and Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Riley.


The meetings was held in the evening at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office, first with the German envoy and later with the Australian envoy, said BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

He said the discussions focused on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.

BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan and Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir attended the meetings.

Earlier, Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen met Tarique on Jan 7, followed by Pakistan’s High Commissioner on Friday afternoon, reports UNB.
