Lightning strike kills youth in Gaibandha

A youth died in lightning strike while working in a field in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha district on Tuesday morning.


The deceased was Rumman Mia Limon, 22, son of Habibur Rahman of Tajnagar Paschimpara village in the upazila. He got married 14 days back.

Locals said rains started when he went to the field with his parents to work in the morning. .

Though his parents went back the house he took shelter to a pump house by the field where the lightning struck, leaving him dead on the spot, reports UNB.
