Farmer killed in Dinajpur lightning strike

A farmer was killed in lightning strike at Chapra village under Birampur upazila of the district today.


The deceased was Delwar Hossain Prince, 35, son of Md. Jasim Uddin of the same village.

Lightning followed by a rainstorm hit Delwar at 12 noon when he was working in a field near his house, said Birampur Police Station Inspector Md. Momtazul Haque, reports UNB. 

He died on the spot.
