Deep depression turns into cyclonic storm "Montha"

The Deep Depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining area intensified into a cyclonic storm "Montha" over southwest Bay and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal at 3 am on Monday.


It is likely to move west-northwestwards further and intensify further, said a Met office bulletin.

It may cross Andhra Pradesh coast of India around evening/night of 28) October 2025.

Its associated trough extends up to North Bay.

Rain/thunder showers is likely at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur & Mymensingh divisions in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Monday.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, reports UNB.
