3 more children die with measles symptoms in last 24 hours
Three more children died with measles symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, raising the number of deaths from confirmed measles and measles symptoms to 1,099 from March 15 to September 28, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room issued today.
A total of 1,214 suspected measles cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while the number of suspected cases stood at 189,255 from March 15 to September 28, it said.
In the past 24 hours, 96 confirmed measles cases were reported, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 21,308 since March 15.
From March 15 to September 28, a total of 167,469 suspected measles patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country. During the same period, 160,705 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospitals.
Three children died with suspected measles in the past 24 hours, while a total of 998 children have died from the same cause since March 15.
No one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours across the country.
Since March 15, a total of 101 children have died from confirmed measles, reports BSS.
