Dengue: 3 more patients hospitalised in 24 hrs

Three more dengue patients have been hospitalised in Dhaka in 24 hours till Monday morning.



Dhaka, Jan 10 : Three more dengue patients have been hospitalised in Dhaka in 24 hours till Monday morning, health authorities said.

No new death was reported during this period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Two of the new patients are undergoing treatment at the hospitals in Dhaka while another is admitted at a hospital outside the division.

A total of 105 dengue patients -- 95 in Dhaka division alone, four in Mymensingh, two each in Chattogram and Khulna, and one each in Rajshahi and Barishal divisions -- have died so far since January 2021.

Some 42 dengue patients are receiving treatment in the country as of Monday

Of them, 26 are receiving treatment at different hospitals in the capital while remaining 16 at hospitals outside Dhaka.

This year, some 74 patients have been admitted to different hospitals with dengue so far and 32 dengue patients have left hospital after recovery, said the DGHS, reports UNB.
