26 Dengue Patients Hospitalized in 24 Hours

A total of 26 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, according to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).


Of the newly hospitalized patients, 15 were reported from Barishal division, four from Chattogram, four from Dhaka North City Corporation, one from Dhaka South City Corporation, and one each from Khulna and Rajshahi divisions.

With the latest admissions, the total number of dengue cases in the country this year has reached 2,100. So far, 16 dengue-related deaths have been reported.

During the same 24-hour period, 27 patients were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,983.

In comparison, last year saw a total of 101,214 cases and 575 dengue-related deaths, according to DGHS data.
