62 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24hrs

A total of 62 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.


"During the period, 36 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, four in Chattogram, three in Dhaka division, seven in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 10 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and one each in Khulna and Rangpur division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of cases rose to 4,302, while 23 deaths from the mosquito-borne viral disease were reported this year, reports BSS.

During the 24 hours, 98 patients were released from different hospitals across the country after receiving treatment.

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214, while 575 deaths from the disease were reported, the statement added.
