834 fresh dengue cases reported in 24hrs

Health officials today said they recorded 834 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours.


“Out of the 834 fresh cases, 167 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 103 in Chattogram division, 229 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 60 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 203 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas and 72 in Mymensingh division, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 307 deaths while the disease inflicted 77,348.

The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country, reports BSS.
