BCL leader missing while returning from Padma Bridge ceremony

A Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader went missing after his trawler capsized while returning Dhaka from the Padma Bridge inaugural ceremony on Saturday.



A Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader went missing after his trawler capsized while returning Dhaka from the Padma Bridge inaugural ceremony on Saturday.
Tamim, 26, was a fourth-year student of Char Fasson Government College in Bhola. He was the joint convener of Char Fasson Government College unit BCL.
The divers are conducting rescue operation.
Char Fesson upazila unit BCL general secretary Enamul Ahsan Asif said that the trawler, with six passengers,  overturned in the Padma River during strong current five minutes before reaching Mawa Ghat from Kanthal Bari Ghat.
Later, another trawler and speedboat came to the spot and rescued five people but Tamim could not be found. The five were also injured
