Heavy rainfall in Sylhet, water level of Surma increases

Due to heavy rainfall, the water level of Surma has increased rapidly in Sylhet, inundating many low-lying areas.



Due to heavy rainfall, the water level of Surma has increased rapidly in Sylhet, inundating many low-lying areas.
The water of major rivers began to increase from Monday night and continued till Tuesday evening.
According to Bangladesh Water Development Board (WDB), if heavy rainfall and hill slope continue, the water may flow above the danger level.
Surma and Kushiyara were flowing above the danger level in four points on Tuesday evening.
