Child's body recovered from neighbour's almira

The body of an eight-year-old child has been recovered from neighbour's almira at Shibpurupazila in Narsingdi.



The body of an eight-year-old child has been recovered from neighbour's almira at Shibpurupazila in Narsingdi district, after eight hours of her missing.
Deceased Sayman Akhter was the student of class III and daughter of Sarwar Jahan, a resident of Jashore area.
Police recovered the body at about 9pm on Tuesday from the almira's of Sarwar Jahan's neighbour Hanif Miah.
Sayma had missing since 1pm on Tuesday. Later in the afternoon, the family started announcement through loud speaker in the area and informed the matter to police.
On suspicion, police searched Hanif Miah's house and recovered the body from a sack which was kept inside the almira.
Police, however, detained Hanif and his wife Shelly in connection with the incident.
The body was sent o Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, said Shibpur Model Police Station OC Md Salahuddin Miah, adding that a case has been filed over the incident.
