The physicians’ work abstention has continued for the second day in Khulna hospitals in protest against an attack on a fellow physician.



The physicians’ work abstention has continued for the second day in Khulna hospitals in protest against an attack on a fellow physician.
Physicians in Khulna district have halted services at all government and private hospitals, except for emergency care, causing immense suffering to the patients.
During visit, no physician was seen on Thursday.
The doctors went into strike from Wednesday protesting the attack on Dr Sheikh Nishat Abdullah, head of Burn and Plastic Surgery Department of Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialized Hospital.
Protesting doctors said that they would not join work until those involved in attacking him, are arrested.
