Sibling electrocuted in Chandpur

A teenage girl and her younger brother died from electrocution at their house at Shahrasti upazila in Chandpur district.



A teenage girl and her younger brother died from electrocution at their house at Shahrasti upazila in Chandpur district.
The incident took place around 1:00pm on Saturday (March 18).
The deceased were known as Fahima Akter, 16, and her brother Abdur Rahman Fahim, 7.
Locals said Fahim came in contact with an electric wire of a pump connected to a tube well next to their house. At that time, his elder sister Fahima came forward to save him, she also got entangled in the wire, leaving them injured.
Later, they were taken to Shahrasti upazila health complex where duty doctors declared them dead.
Shahrasti model police station OC Mohammad Shaheed Hossain confirmed the matter.
