Three people died from heatstroke in Sunamganj district, doctors said on Thursday.



Three people died from heatstroke in Sunamganj district, doctors said on Thursday (May 11).

The deceased were known as Manzur Rahman, 40, Azir Uddin, 65, and Rafia Begum, 60.

Local sources said that the three victims were working in their farmland under the scorching sun today. At one stage, they had fallen sick while working in the field. Later, they were taken to Kaitak Hospital of Chhatak Upazila where duty doctors declared them dead.

Chhatak upazila health complex chief Dr Razib Chakrabarty confirmed the matter.
