20-km tailback on Sirajganj Highway
A 20-km long tailback was created on the Western end of Bangabandhu Bridge from Nalka to Chandaikona of Sirajganj on Friday evening.

Sources said, due to traffic congestion on the highway, various long-distance vehicles are moving through Sirajganj city roads. It has also caused traffic jams in the city. As a result, the passengers are suffering immensely in the district.
Hatikumrul highway police station Officer-in-charge Badrul Kabir confirmed the matter.
Traffic Inspector (TI) Monirul Islam said garment workers are returning after their Eid vacation. Apart from buses, a large number of people are also going to Dhaka in trucks and pickups. As a result, traffic jams have been created following the increased pressure of vehicles on roads.
