Sources said, due to traffic congestion on the highway, various long-distance vehicles are moving through Sirajganj city roads. It has also caused traffic jams in the city. As a result, the passengers are suffering immensely in the district.
Hatikumrul highway police station Officer-in-charge Badrul Kabir confirmed the matter.
Traffic Inspector (TI) Monirul Islam said garment workers are returning after their Eid vacation. Apart from buses, a large number of people are also going to Dhaka in trucks and pickups. As a result, traffic jams have been created following the increased pressure of vehicles on roads.
