Two siblings died, reportedly from food poisoning, at Malkur village in Singra upazila of Natore district Thursday.



Two siblings died, reportedly from food poisoning, at Malkur village in Singra upazila of Natore district Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Fima Khatun, 15, a class 9 student of Badpara High School, and Faria Khatun, 10, a class 3 student of Malkur Primary School — daughters of Nazim Uddin of the village who works abroad.

Both Fima and Faria became sick after having dinner around 11 pm on Wednesday, said Rafiqul Islam, inspector of Singra Police Station, quoting family members.

Later, they were taken to a private clinic where Fima died after admission while Faria was moved to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogura where she died this morning.
