National Cooperative Day 2023 celebrated at Kalapara
52nd National Cooperative Day observed in Kalapara
Patuakhali: The 52nd National Cooperative Day 2023 was celebrated at Kalapara in Patuakhali. On the occasion of the celebration of the day, a colorful procession left the Upazila Parishad premises and circled the main road of the city at 10 am on Saturday with the slogan 'We are building the country in cooperation, Bangladesh will be smart'.
Later, the discussion meeting of the Cooperative Day was held in the Upazila Parishad conference room. Under the chairmanship of Kalapara UNO Md. Jahangir Hossain, Local Member of Parliament Md. Mohibbur Rahman Mohib spoke in the function as chief guest. Upazila Parishad Chairman SM Rakibul Ahsan, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abdul Motaleb Talukder and others spoke as special guests. Leaders of business associations and cooperatives among others spoke on the occasion.
At that time, the cooperatives demanded from the Ministry of Cooperatives to provide a loan of Tk 20,000 to each cooperative on easy terms. - Gofran Biswas Palash
