Former president of Khulna Press Club AK Hiru no more
Khulna, Mar 10 - A former Khulna correspondent of Channel i and former president of Khulna Press Club AK Hiru passed away on Saturday. He was 70.
Hiru, ex-president of Khulna Union of Journalists (KUJ), breathed his last around 1:00 pm while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Abu Naser Hospital in Khulna.
He had been suffering from various diseases including kidney-related complexities for several years. He is survived by his wife and a host of relatives and friends.
Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, former MP Nazrul Islam Manju, Khulna Press Club and Khulna Reporters Unity expressed deep shock at his death.-UNB
