Fisherman dies in Khulna lightning strike



Khulna, Apr 07 - A fisherman was killed after being struck by lightning at Komolpur village in Dumuria upazila in Khulna on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Obaidullah Gazi, son of Delwar Hossain Gazi, of the village.

According to locals, a thunderbolt struck Obaidullah when he went to Komolpur village for fishing around 8am, leaving him dead.

Sukanta Kumar Saha, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dumuria Police Station, confirmed the incident.-UNB
