Cyclone affected family gets sewing m,achine as alternative livelihood in Kalapara.



Patuakhali: In order to provide alternative livelihood to the families affected by Cyclone Remal in Kalapara of Patuakhali, sewing machine assistance has been provided to the poor families after training. These materials were distributed free of charge at the Upazila Parishad hall room on Monday afternoon. UNO Md. Rabiul Islam spoke as the chief guest, Disaster and Relief Officer Md. Humayun Kabir, CPP Assistant Director Asaduzzaman Khan, Nilganj Union Chairman Babul Mia and others were present as special guests. Sylvester Mikhail Madhu, project manager of World Concern Bangladesh, Kalapara gave a welcome address on the occasion.

Sewing machines were provided to 16 poor families of Nilganj, Mahipur and Latachapali unions of Kalapara upazila under the transformation project of the non government organization World Concern Bangladesh. - Gofran Biswas Palash
